I surprised Bill with this painting for his 53rd birthday. The images were taken from photographs I took especially for this purpose; the boat tied up in Winter Harbour, and Bill, while he was watching the lines from the boat's rear cockpit.

Another sneak photo taken aboard the halibut longliner "Zapora", after a long, hard day long-lining. We were headed to harbour, to anchor up for the night. When I saw the developed photo, I knew it would become a painting.
