THE BALLAD OF BLUE EAGLE BILL
What happens when you're trying to catch a REALLY BIG FISH, and your imagination runs away from you, trying to imagine what would happen if you ever did? Here's a story-poem about a fisherman who actually did catch a giant fish, and what happened afterwards ... using a wild, runaway imagination!
This poem first originated on board the “Blue Eagle” in the middle of the 1994 commercial fishing season. Somehow, it just popped unbidden into my head! It was a little shorter than this, since there wasn’t much personal time when you’re busy gutting fish, hauling six lines with 40 hooks on each line, and trying to cook meals on a fish boat. I’m surprised this even bounced around inside my noggin! When it quite unexpectedly did, I wrote it down before it got lost in the gut bucket.

I was introduced to Teresa via a mutual friend, and the introduction has completely flung my world into a new and exciting direction. She needed an illustrator, and guess what ... I can illustrate! The fit was perfect. I'm still a little dizzy!
So now the work in done. This series is for youngsters, just setting out into their reading world, and contains segments about Canada, dinosaur trivia, and stories of children learning important life lessons. The road trip section in each book will cover all of our provinces and territories in turn, and is a highly informative and fun book to read. I recommend it to teachers and parents of young children everywhere.
Teresa is also the author of the series for reluctant young readers "The Coinkeeper", plus novels for kids, titled "Dager of the Tasman Empire" and "Imogene of the Pacific Kingdom". These 2 books are inter-related, and describe various mythical kingdoms existing under the crust of the Earth all around our world. There will be more in the future.
I've read them all and they're wonderful. If you have children or grandchildren, I encourage you to look for them on Amazon.
